1. A recreation of the original iPhone commercial from three years ago (that went fast) on an iPhone 3G running the most recent operating system update, iOS4. The point of the parody is to highlight that with each new software development, Apple seems to be leaving in its dust everything that has come before it. While I can understand that the company would ideally love you to get their newest hardware immediately, that shouldn’t mean that they don’t continue to support their (not even that) old hardware with the same level of dedication that they once did, at least, give it a year or two. There are many PowerBooks and monochrome iPods out there that are still functioning well, even though they’re more than five years old, and Apple Store employees still treat the customers with the devices the same as those with brand new iPhone 4s. Why can’t there be the same thinking towards software development?

Suffice to say, I’m very sick of my phone doing everything that happens in this video every time I use it, and I’m pretty annoyed that it’s really just the new operating system that’s causing the phone to be so erratic. Gawker has more on the subject, including the video maker’s similar sentiments.
