Bike lanes coming to more of downtown Philly
Spruce and Pine Streets in Center City will finally be getting bike lanes, according to the Office of Transportation, and this blog. The amount of cyclists on Philly’s streets doubled between 2005 and 2008, so this is really a much-needed safety net for kids riding their shiny new cheap fixies who can’t yet trackstand, and the weekend warriors on their $100 Wal-Mart specials, named after cars. Very glad to hear this, especially now that I live downtown.
